TLC Plumbing & Utility, New Mexico Activities Association, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque Isotopes, and New Mexico United collaborated to create a motivational message encouraging kids to stay on top of their game.
With the hopes of having a sports’ season being repeatedly let down due to the current pandemic, TLC, along with the New Mexico Activities Association, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque Isotopes, and New Mexico United, felt it was important to encourage athletes of all ages across the state. All of these organizations have been impacted by the pandemic which affects communities across the state. TLC felt that it was important to work with these organizations to encourage young athletes to keep playing and working hard.
“The mental health of our athletes is really being tested right now because of the regular sports seasons being cancelled or postponed. It’s really important that our kids keep active so they can stay healthy, not just physically but mentally too. Even though everything looks different this year, it’s still very important to stay on top of your skills”
-Dale Armstrong TLC’s Owner & CEO
TLC has always supported youth athletic programs for our employees and communities in New Mexico. We recognize the importance of youth athletics can play in children learning values like respect, overcoming adversity, perseverance, and teamwork. During this time kids have lost the opportunity to play and practice with their teammates. TLC along with our community partners felt it very important to motivate these young athletes to continue to play. This video highlights local athletes from both middle and high schools in Rio Rancho, Albuquerque, and Magdalena. The 30-second ‘We Will Play Again’ message will air on television and social media over the next few weeks.
